Jonnie chronicles the life of a woman with extraordinary mental and physical toughness, weaving together her intrepid pursuit of a world title in the 1980’s with her dramatic present-day story rescuing battered horses and battle a cataclysmic natural disaster. With a graceful blend of archival and verité footage, intimate interviews with top bull riding experts, and flashbacks brought to life through artful sketch animation, the feature-length documentary explores themes of resilience and the importance of finding meaning in whatever we do.
