NO MAN'S LAND FILM FESTIVAL

No Man's Land Film Festival (NMLFF) is the premier all-women adventure film festival based out of Denver, Colorado, that meets a need and desire to highlight and connect women in pursuit of the radical. We are a collaboration and celebration of humans who are deeply engaged in enhancing the feminine presence in the adventure arena. The goal of this festival is to connect like-minded individuals who are action-oriented, wish to support a shared vision of gender equality, have a desire to experience their passions and environments through a uniquely feminine lens, and above all, love adventure.

Along with cultivating a deep interest in exploring the vastness of our planet from a groundbreaking point of view, we strive to create a history of motivating audiences to implement and inspire change through human collaboration. Our mission transcends the films presented; this festival acts as a platform for progressive thought and movement in the outdoor industry. At No Man's Land, we aim to un-define feminine in adventure and sport through film.

COMEDY NIGHT WITH STEVE GILLESPIE

Steve Gillespie’s second comedy album “Alive on State” reached #1 on iTunes Comedy Charts and hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts. His 3rd comedy album “Liminal Bliss” was released earlier this year with Helium Comedy Records. It reached #2 on the iTunes Comedy Charts, so he is getting worse.

Gillespie has appeared on CONAN, Amazon Prime’s “Inside Joke”, and FOX’s “Laughs - All Stars”. Gillespie’s act a is a slaphappy balance of aggression and absurdity, coupled with a delightfully pushy persona that has earned him spots at some of the best festivals in country including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, 10k Laughs, and High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver, CO. He was named a finalist in CMT’s Next Big Comic, runner up for Best of the Midwest at Gilda’s Laughfest, and his debut album “Steve Fever” was named a top 10 comedy album of the year by ComedyReviews.com

Gillespie has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the best comics in the country, including opening appearances for Rory Scovel, Dave Attell, Jim Breuer, Tom Segura, Kyle Kinnane, Tom Green, Harland Williams, Shane Mauss, Doug Benson, Emo Phillips, and the late, great Gilbert Gottfried

SKULL & ROSES BALL

SKULL & ROSES BALL

Colorado's DeadPhish Orchestra will be making their first appearance in Big Sky since 2017, and what better reason to return than to headline the third annual Skull and Roses Ball! The Ball will include a costume competition with prizes awarded to dedicated costume categories. Themed drinks, photo opportunities, raffles and more! Tickets are limited, and last year's event sold out - come enjoy the party of the season!

Tickets are now on sale for $30/advance and any available tickets left will be $40 at the door.

Friday, October 5: Doors open at 8, music starts at 9 with two sets from DPO so we can dance our bones off!

DeadPhish Orchestra is a well-established and well-loved quartet of Colorado musicians whose roots together go back more than two decades, and who have shared stages literally thousands of times. What started out as a lark, and got tagged with a tongue-in-cheek band name, turned out to have some serious staying power.

The original members of DPO met in the summer of 2001, and spent most of the rest of the decade touring as Phix, the first nationally-recognized Phish tribute band. Phix had stopped touring by the time Phish made their grand comeback in 2009, but the guys were still doing various gigs together around Colorado. The seed for DPO was planted a few months later, when they were casually playing some Grateful Dead covers at a Denver venue, and a jam on the Grateful Dead’s “Here Comes Sunshine” somehow organically morphed into a jam on Phish’s “Bathtub Gin.” The crowd went wild, and a new band was born.

The first “official” DPO show happened at that same venue on New Year’s Eve of 2009. In the 15 ensuing years, DPO has played hundreds of shows all over the United States. With surprising song combinations like “Help > Slip > Frankie Says,” “Divided Sky > Morning Dew,” and “Mike’s Song > Jack Straw > Weekapaug Groove,” DPO’s unpredictable setlists and top-notch musicianship continue to draw crowds and deliver thrilling performances.

The band’s current lineup features seasoned Colorado musicians Paul Murin (guitar), Brian Adams (bass), and Ted Tilton (keyboards).

IDLE HANDS (1999)

The devil will find work for idle hands to do... so what happens when he goes on the prowl for a partner in crime and ends up with an utterly clueless 17-year-old slacker? The result is a lot more moronics than demonics in the gruesome comedy-horror Idle Hands. Anton Tobias (Sawa) wakes up on Halloween morning to discover -- after watching some TV and pursuing the contents of the fridge, oblivious to the pool of blood on the floor -- that his parents have been turned in to a couple of headless Halloween decorations. After hanging out with his equally irresponsible friends, Mick (Green) and Pnub (Henson), Anton discovers that his right hand has a very bloodthirsty mind of its own, and it’s hell-bent on wreaking deadly havoc with or without him.
