10TH ANNUAL BIG SKY WINTER SHOOTOUT
The Big Sky Shootout is a full on visual celebration of Big Sky’s ski community and mountain culture. This little film festival has produced cult classics like Higher Love I & II, Master Blader I & II, Bachelor of Big Sky, 4 Guys 1 Line, Don't Change, just to name a few.
Please join us on Thursday, April 3 2025 at The Waypoint for the 10th Annual Big Sky Winter Shootout Film & Photo Festival.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2025 WINTER SHOOTOUT
Festival submissions must be shot within the Big Sky, Montana area during the January 15 - March 21, 2025.
Film length can be anywhere from 30 seconds-5 minutes (.MP4 file format).
Photo submissions can be of up to 5 images (.jpeg file format for the digital display and you may provide easel displayed prints of any size for presentation at the premiere).
All submissions need to be received by March 21st, 2054, by midnight to be considered for the festival. Submissions will then go to jury for selection to be featured in the festival at the premiere on April 3rd.*

2025 FLY FISHING FILM TOUR
The 19th annual FLY FISHING FILM TOUR (F3T) will visit Big Sky, Montana from 5:30 - 8:30 PM, Thursday, March 27th at The Waypoint, hosted by Gallatin River Task Force.
The night will start at 5:30 with a presentation from FWP Fisheries Biologist Keith Wellstone on the health of trout populations in the Gallatin and the work the state is doing to better understand population dynamics on the Gallatin. Following the presentation, a Q&A will take place and then the films will start around 6:30. Join us for a collection of short films highlighting all the things we love about fishing, showcasing unique storytelling and beautiful locations. Cold Smoke, a new development proposed by the Housing Trust, will add 389 deed-restricted homes for rent and purchase by any full-time member of Big Sky’s workforce. The Housing Trust hopes to deliver the first 50-100 homes in 2028.
