MEET CHEF RIXEY
The Waypoint is excited to welcome Chef Dustin Rixey to our team!
Dustin was born and raised in New Mexico where he learned to cook at an early age from his grandmother. His passion for professional cooking didn't take off until later. He spent time working Ski Resort jobs in Summit County and Vail co., then in New York city where he worked for Martha Stewart Living Magazine and Morgan Stanley investment banking.
It was in NY that the passion to learn from a four star chef started him on his culinary path. After training in all positions at a four star restaurant in Manhattan, Dustin moved to Las Vegas to hone his skills under very talented chefs in restaurants, hotels and casinos. He finds himself happiest in the high country with his son and Malinos, enjoying all the great sports available and sharing his passion for great food and atmosphere.
