Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Academy Award® nominee Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that had once housed an undisclosed research facility for Jurassic Park. Now, a new live-action adaptation of the blockbuster HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON franchise will transport audiences for the first time into a new cinematic experience and a bold, thrilling new chapter in the beloved story of Viking Hiccup and his Night Fury dragon, Toothless. The film will be written and directed by three-time Academy Award® nominee Dean DeBlois, who has written and directed all three films in animated trilogy (How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World). The franchise is based on the best-selling books series by Cressida Cowell. The live-action film will be produced by three-time Oscar® nominee Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies), Dean DeBlois and Emmy winner Adam Siegel (2 Guns, Drive). Since 2010, the How to Train Your Dragon films have earned more than $1.6 billion worldwide, have received four Academy Award® nominations and won the Golden Globe award for How to Train Your Dragon 2.
